Moving Right Along...

Well, I'm at a 4 now, and living 70 miles from the hospital...I'm a little nervous about that. My Dr is going to induce on Aug 5 if Zoee will even stay put that long. We're just trying to wait until daddy gets here!

Still Waiting...

Well, we're still waiting for the final closing on the house... I'm really missing my husband, but I'm glad I haven't been sitting in a hotel for a week and a half, very pregnant and with a 2-yr-old, while Daniel is working all day. I think we made the right decision for me to stay behind! Daniel will be back in Idaho on Sat Aug 2nd and be here until Sun Aug 10th. Our due date isn't until Aug 16th, but Daniel has to start actual teaching Aug 11th. So our Dr has agreed to induce no later than Aug 9th if the baby isn't here by then. We're now at 37 weeks and 2 days. I'm having a few contractions every day and was at a 2 as of last Monday - only 8 more to go! Ha, ha. I have a Dr appt today, so hopefully things have been moving along!

Home Sweet Almost Home

We finally got a home - we think! :) At least our offer got accepted on a home... The closing date keeps getting delayed for this or that piece of paperwork, but we're hoping it will go through this Wednesday, the 23rd. I've never seen the house, of course, except in pictures, but it seems nice, and Daniel likes it. :) It's a 1900 square foot, 4 bed, 2 bath home, with a nice yard. It's only 3-years-old, and we got a great deal on it.

Daniel left for AZ on Saturday and drove all the way through by himself in one day. He has started working at his seminary there, and will be there to do some minor repairs and some cleaning in the house, and getting some appliances bought, so it will be all ready (hopefully! :) when me and the babies arrive! I will be staying in Idaho to have the baby, and we just hope we're able to guess the right time to fly daddy back in, so he doesn't miss the birth. This has been a terribly stressful time, but things seem to finally be coming together.

Living In Limbo

If there is anyone that still checks this, here is an update for you... finally!! My only internet access is dial-up right now, which I am unfortunately a little bit impatient with. :) And I can't download any pics right now...so until I become unhomeless again, you are going to get some blog boredom from me - sorry! :)

So there are plenty of homes in the Mesa area to buy at great prices, but we are not the only ones buying, obviously, because we keep getting outbid. Our first 3 attempts at getting a house have not worked out, and by the time we heard back on those, all of the ones on our back-up list were sold. So last week, Daniel went down to Mesa to house hunt again. He found some really nice options and we have more offers in...but again we are waiting. The response time is killing us...

Staying with mom and dad is not bad at all - and it's been great to have 2 extra babysitters. However our plan of staying here for 2 weeks has now turned into a month, and could easily become 2 months or more!

Our biggest "situation" is that if I don't fly out of here by July 19th, I won't be flying out until after the baby is born - Dr's orders... and my husband will have to go ahead without me to get started on his new job in Mesa. And who knows if he will be here whenever the baby decides to come- yikes!

I guess we just have to trust that everything will work out - but it's so unsettling to have so many uncertainties! :) We are really looking forward to getting a home and getting settled again.

As for the pregnancy, we have 5 1/2 weeks left. Everything is going well, except we're really running out of space in there. It's kindof hard to stuff a Dixon sized baby into a 5 foot tall mommy's belly! My maternity shirts are starting to to creap up, and it's getting nearly impossible to fold that little girl so I can bend over. Oh, the joys of pregnancy! :) It's a good thing we get such a great end product from it! :)
