Between Daniel's birthday money and mine, we were able to have a fabulous date (thanks parents!:) Rascal Flatts came to Phoenix, and we bought some cheap seats. Rascal Flatts actually sings "our song,"
God Blessed the Broken Road, so we were really excited to go together. The first part of the concert was great. Then a group of 10 or 12 drunks descended upon us...they started falling all over us and sharing their foul mouths. I was getting hot, when my husband leaned over and whispered, "remember the worth of a soul..." in my ear. Oh, that's what I get for marrying a seminary teacher! :) But he was right, and I realized that! It was good for me to be reminded that Heavenly Father loves us all the same, even if He doesn't always love the things we do! So instead of being rude in return (even though I kind of wanted to! :), we just decided to leave a little early, while we still had good memories our concert. It made me all the more grateful for the teaching and stability I am blessed with, and for such a wonderful husband that helps me better live what I believe...:)
And here is a bit of some of the wonderful memories we made!! We were pretty far back, so the pics aren't great, but the show was!
If you haven't heard the song yet, you should. It's a good one!
