We don't have many pictures for the month of June. We decided to get new flooring in our house. We ripped out all the tile and carpet and have been living in a big mess. We hired someone for what was supposed to be a 5 day job, and it unfortunately took 17 days. So we have been living in a mess of tile dust covering everything and tack strips tearing up little feet, and all of our belongings stacked in a giant pile. The contractors left the door open while tearing out our tile, and we had air that was black with mosquitoes when we came home that evening. After swatting for 5 hours and making no progress, and getting covered in mosquito bites, we called the exterminator and moved out for a couple of days. A couple of days later, our dishwasher broke. So we bought a cheap used one off of craigslist to work for now...the only problem was I forgot to turn off the water valves under the sink when installing it. We ended up with a wild spraying hot water hose that flooded our torn up tile dust covered kitchen floor, but finally got it under control. Just when the tile got finished, we were informed that someone had dropped the ball on ordering the carpet, and we would have to just wait in our torn up house for 5 days while the carpet was being shipped in. So we have "enjoyed" almost 3 weeks of cramped dirtiness, sleeping on the floor, mosquito infestation, and floods. Our house felt like a 3rd world country for a while. So I am ever more grateful now that we are not in a 3rd world country and that we finally have nice new flooring! Now we just have to get the giant pile of our belongings all sorted out an put away! No one come to visit for a couple of weeks...unless you want to help clean my house! :) Anyway, the camera was lost during most of the chaos, so this is all we have for June.
Ready for swimming in their twinner suits!
Not too many kids have, know, and get to associate with a great-great-aunt and great-great-uncle.
