We Love Idaho!

Just incase someone thinks we're dead...We are enjoying a wonderful vacation in Idaho. Luckily, we had a smooth, uneventful trip here. However, shortly after we arrived, we found out that our van had some major mechanical problems. We weren't planning on a new car so soon, but we do have to get home somehow! So it was a little bit of a chore getting our old van traded in and finding a replacement. We now have a newer and more reliable van (with a warranty), and a much smaller bank account :) But we are very happy with our purchase. And we will love it even more when we get it paid off in 10975 years...:)
We have been busy cramming all the fun things in that we can! Our days have been full and enjoyable! We are enjoying 75-85 degree weather instead of the 114 degrees that it is at home! We have visited so many friends and family members, and even got to go see our old house and it's giant yard (since friends of ours bought it). All 4 of my sibling and their families, who are normally spread from Alaska to Arizona, have arranged to be here together, at least for some of the days. So our days have been full of 4 wheelers, blow up swimming pools, bug catching, running in the sprinklers, family wrestling piles, barefoot kickball and volleyball in the front yard, trampolines, chicken feeding, cookouts, family reunions, mooing at the cows with Jaden, horse rides, a birthday party for all of the cousins since they never get to be together for each others' birthdays, relaxing in the hammock under the stars in the cool Summer evenings.... We love lots of things about Arizona, and we are going to enjoy it while we are there, but being here makes our hearts ache to get back someday...
We forgot the camera cord to download pics while we are here. So we'll be posting lots of updates when we arrive home the first part of next month!

FIrst Steps

Zoee took her first steps by herself on July 7th, two days after turning 11 months old! These aren't the first ones, because, of course, she surprised me and I didn't have the camera ready! I did catch a little video of her the next day, though!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July! Daniel's sister Angela and her family came from Texas to visit for 4 days. We made a couple of trips to the water park, had a cookout, chased the ice cream truck, made cinnamon rolls, and attempted an early morning sisterly garage sale extravaganza (unfortunately, every one was out celebrating instead of having garage sales, so it was quite disappointing!), watched a few fireworks, and just enjoyed relaxing and being family! We were happy to have them here with us!

-Quick Update-

My new window coverings and pillows are done. They don't look too professional, but they didn't turn out bad for my first time sewing them myself. :)

Caught in the act...Zoee has been rearranging the pantry for me.

Jaden and Daniel went to a "Build and Grow" clinic at Lowe's last weekend. Lowe's does them every other Saturday for free! They provide a little kit, tools to use for the project, and a free apron and goggles. Jaden was excited about his pirate ship that he built himself! You can sign up for the next one here https://www.lowesbuildandgrow.com/

Jaden's really into dressing himself lately. I've had to take him out like this a couple of times.

And this is his new bedtime attire - he likes to rotate between his flip flops and cowboy boots.
