IDAHO PART III - The Teton Dam Marathon

My sister and I moments after completing the Dam half marathon.
The race had about 7 miles of big hills and the wind was blowing hard in our faces. It was torturous! Luckily, the last 2 miles were downhill! After finishing, I said I was never doing that again...but the day after, I started planning for my next race...

Here is a flattering shot of me with my best friend Suzy. I guess it's okay to look gross after running 13 miles!:)
Suz was there to meet me at the finish line.
The rest of the family did the 1 mile fun run! Nat made them all matching team race shirts!

IDAHO PART II - Everything in Between

Zoee was having fun watching the chickens. This picture was taken a moment before a big gust of wind came up, blew the door shut, and knocked Zoee face first into the coop, where a startled rooster flew up in her face and left a big scratch...mommy saved her as fast as she could, but Zo was done with the chickens after that episode.
Great-grandma Phyllis was able to visit. She sewed cute little skirts for all of the great granddaughters.

IDAHO - PART I The "Talent" Show

We decided to have a family talent show while in Idaho. We got out the bag of costumes and got a little crazy. There was very little talent involved, but a whole lot of laughing!

Sister-in-law Coti played "Yankee Doodle" on the keyboard and sang the tune, while sister Natalie did a stick horse jig.
Nephew Austin immitated cows mooing.
The little girls Zoee and nieces Riven and Elly danced to "Eye of a Tiger"
Jaden recited a story he had memorized, then sang a song with Riven.
Nephew Ethan did a karate routine with a feather duster.
Grandpa Dennis and niece Chloe did dancing with the stars. After much persuasion, we even got grandpa to wear the stretchy red stirrup pants we found in the basement.
I read a story as Grandma Weemus, and also performed an amazing headstand routine with Grandma Ruthann and Xanthe.

Brother Cody did his famous "Chunky and the Motorcycle" routine
Daniel demonstrated some mad jump the extension cord skills (we couldn't find a jump rope). This was one of the few routine where some real talent was involved!
Niece Xanthe performed a lyrical dance.
