Daddy had a birthday! He knew what he was getting, but he pretended to be excited anyway!  He did some great posing per my request. He got a last minute cobbler for a cake, and some random candles because I forgot to get some decent ones...but he was happy anyway. What a good man!

Jadey got a belated party as well!

We rode a steamboat down a canyon...

Visited a mining ghost town...

Rode a funny slow train with a monotone bearded engineer with a very fuzzy microphone...

And thoroughly enjoyed our company!

What We've Been Up To...

We picked our two tiny pears from our pear tree.
Found a lizard trapped in this bin while cleaning the garage

It provided a couple of days of entertainment...until mom accidentally let the lizard out while trying to put a bug in it's cage for it to eat. Jaden was very forgiving, luckily...:)

We've sailed the high seas in tiny boxes.

Made some fabulous pirate eye patches.
Gone on a treasure hunt in the house.

The booty in the cooler: Swedish fish & stickers!

Zo's spent some time talking on the frog...

And learning to apply eyeliner...

And hanging out in her shades.
And her upside down shades in an over-sized princess dress.

Jaden's been at the camera again...apparantly..

This little miss has become quite the "helper." I have to try really hard to keep her busy with real tasks, so I don't have to chase around after her and repair all of the "tasks" she chooses to do. I'm mostly unsuccessful, but she did do well helping me rinse a dish or two the other day! :)

We're fighting the asthma! Zoee actually thinks it's fun to do breathing treatments, and doesn't bother with her  mask much.

We went to Prince and Princess night at Chic-Fil-A and got free kids meals for the kids. We were running late, so Zo had to settle for princess jammies instead of her princess gown. She didn't care, though, she just thought that "moo-cow" was the coolest thing ever.

When I went to check on the kids before I went to bed the other day, I realized that Santa had decided to take over my son's bed
We found a praying mantis on the peach tree in the backyard. We named him Milo, and we had a good time watching him crawl around. Zo tried to pet Milo several times, which didn't make him so happy, but he survived it...
