We had a wonderful visit to New Mexico and Texas to see Daniel's family. We got to see almost all of his family on this trip. We enjoyed some relaxation, some wonderful food, and a fun trip to the beach.
Then came the stressful part of the trip. Our flight out of Texas to SLC was delayed due to weather. We had a flight out of SLC back to Phoenix that same night to start our house hunting trip, which we missed. We did make a later flight, but just barely. We had 45 minutes to get off our plane, get our baggage, switch airline terminals, check back in with a different airline, get through security and onto the plane, all with a toddler and carseat in tow, fueled by a dinner of juice and crackers from the flight, and with a pregnant mommy trying to run through the airport. What a nightmare! But we made it! We were very fortunate to run into one of those nice cart driver guys soon after we got off our flight, who drove us to the baggage claim, or we never would have made it onto the second flight!
We spent 4 days in the Mesa area - we looked at about 40 homes in 3 days. I ended up having a a near breakdown from the heat, stress, and exhaustion, but my good husband helped me through it! Jaden was an extremely good boy, especially considering all he had to go through in two weeks time! He happily went in and out of house after house, climbing up the stairs, checking out the cupboards and closets, scoping out a new home for himself.
We ended the week by putting an offer in on a home, but still haven't heard back yet. So as for now, we are in limbo still. We are staying with my parents while we wait, and are hoping to be able to get moved down and settled soon! If we don't get the house we put the offer in on, though, we'll have to try plan b and plan c, and then Daniel may have to go back down hunting again - as for me, I'm sitting the next trip out, if there is one!
I won't be posting any pictures for a while, as the camera cord is packed in an unknown location and I have no way to download them! :)
